What the BOQ checking and pricing software does
- Upload the BOQ as it isExcel — every sheet is tried — or CSV, up to 5 MB, with Arabic or English headers, Arabic-Indic digits and title blocks above the header row. You see a preview before anything is saved.
- Line arithmeticEach line’s amount is checked against quantity × rate. A blank amount is worked out, and a missing rate or quantity is derived from the amount and reported, never filled in silently.
- Subtotals, the grand total and VATSection subtotals, the grand total, VAT and the total with VAT are each checked against the lines, and a section left out of the grand total is named.
- Rates against the marketRebar, cement, ready-mix, reinforced concrete, block, curtain wall and window rates are compared with a dated Egypt cost baseline. A rate far outside the band — often a wrong unit — is flagged as a warning for the QS to judge.
- Gaps listedUnpriced, rate-only and zero-quantity lines, duplicate items, non-numeric rates and missing cells are listed, so the quantity surveyor fixes them before pricing or certification.
- Price packages from quotesThe BOQ is split into trade packages, each prepared as an RFQ sheet with a letter in English or Arabic for your team to send; offers are read back and levelled line by line against your own past rates.

Rates are compared with Egyptian prices — the Ministry of Housing bulletin, the mill lists and the LME with the pound — each with the date it was read, and Arabic BOQs (المقايسة) are read as they are.

Line arithmetic, subtotals, the grand total and VAT lines are checked on any BOQ, in Arabic or English, and rate checks against Saudi prices are set up in the pilot.
UAE and the GCC
